Exercise Overview
Our hip physiotherapy program is designed to support recovery and build strength after hip or lower limb injury or surgery. The program includes a progression of 10 carefully selected exercises in each routine. Movements cover flexion, extension, abduction, and rotation, with a special focus on hip extension and controlled hip extension and flexion, performed lying down, sitting, or standing. You’ll work on regaining joint mobility, activating stabilizing muscles, and improving balance through hip stability exercises that support safer movement and better control. Most exercises need only minimal equipment, such as a soft ball, resistance band, or towel. Instructions emphasize pain-free movement, control, and correct form to support hip joint function and help with exercises to reduce hip pain. This program guides you step by step, helping you regain daily function and prepare for more advanced rehabilitation, including when you need gentle hip injury exercises as part of your return to activity.
